Just finished putting the bike back together. Everything is done except the lower right fairing.

Today bolted the mid pipe, muffler, was able to hide the hardware for the muffler clamp by tightening it under the bike. Spent a lot of time polishing it so wiped down the headers & collectors w/ rubbing alcohol before starting to clean fingerprints from the install. Re installed the radiator, connecting the radiator hoses was A LOT easier than disconnecting them. Made sure to connect the fans prior to bolting the top & bottom radiator mounting bolts. Filled the radiator w/ Coolanol, need to fill slow & will only fill completely to the neck & have all air escape on the side stand & you want to fill the radiator prior to installing the right fairing. Put the fairings on, there's a spacer between the fairings & the frame that you don't want to lose, it will fall out when taking the fairings off. You want to fill the reserve tank before installing the right dash panels, otherwise you'll end up doing the dash panel twice like I did. While the left fairing was off drained the filter box vent hoses. Cleaned & lubed the chain.

Once everything was buttoned up, ran it to let the coolant flow & them topped up the reserve radiator tank..... Don't even attempt without having a system for keeping track of where each & every bolt, washers & spacers go, I used zip lock bags & a sharpie... No doubt its a lot of work but worth it! The exhaust is extremely well made, really compliments the aggressiveness of the H2. And sounds nasty! Will wait for a ride to give full impressions of the sound & that ain't happening tonight, I'm exhausted & it's 20 degrees.

Installed some carbon fiber too, ram air tube, dash panels, chain guard, not sure if I'm going to install the upper tank panels & under tank trim but I'll put that in a different thread as I already have a ton of pics, sorry theses so many pics, just easier for me than going through them.

Finally got the lower right fairing fitted. I needed some hardware that didn't come w/ the exhaust. I could have made it work but wanted it a certain way. Also went for a short ride. Sounds incredible, it's similar to my Brocks Alien Head 2 full exhaust, from just a quick ride it sounds very close in sound level, ran 8000 miles w/ the Brocks exhaust, it's an awesome system, if the Vandemon is louder didn't notice a big difference on the ride, they're probably close which I'm VERY happy about. The Vandemon may be slightly deeper? Definitely super aggressive/evil sounding but want to be out with the bike for a whole day to get a real impression of both sound level & the types of sounds. Will report back when I have but anyone waiting on their Vandemon system right now are going to be fluckin psyched when they hear it!

Some of the new hardware; aluminum spacer for the left lower fairing that a new, longer than OEM bottom bolt fits through. Nylon spacer for right lower fairing, longer bolt for that location as well to reach through spacer. To the right of the nylon spacer is a rubber padded washer that I used on the top left right fairing bolt location (inside). The new bolts, washers & nylon lock nut are stainless:

Spacer painted black inside the lower right fairing, inside connected to top right bolt location. Nate gave me this idea, it gives the right lower fairing more space to clear the exhaust:

Same Spacer:

Aluminum spacer for left lower fairing fitted. Longer bolt I picked up runs through the spacer into the OEM location in the pass through support bracket. Did this to move the support bracket (that connects both lower fairings) over to the right so that it would connect to the Vandemon supplied right side Z bracket closer. This part was the most important item here:

Needed to Dremel down the notch in the right lower fairing for the Vandemon supplied Z bracket to sit flush:

Cut the Vandemon supplied Z bracket, was only using 2 holes so didn't want it hanging down further than necessary. Filed/rounded the corners afterwards:

Vandemon Z Bracket checked for fitment /prior to locktite & being painted:

Finished. Z bracket painted w/ high heat/ceramic (probably not necessary) satin black. Clearance around the exhaust of the fairing, pass through support bracket & fairing bracket is just what I was aiming for, really very happy. Had to get the camera inside the bike to get the first pic, in person the bracket isn't as obvious. Can't wait to get out & do some riding!

Very very nice my friend!

For my install, I also put 2 nylon spacer on the top 2 screws of the lower plastic side panel.

I'm a fan of your bike. hahahahahahhahaha

As you mentioned, the sound Loudness-wise is only a tad louder than Brock's. Brock's website quotes 116db for Alien Head with baffle and 118db for slash-cut. The Vandemon is 119db. The actual H2R is 120db.

They'll all make you go deaf. The Vandemon does have a throatier Old-School Raspy-ness to it's high pitch wail.

I can't wait to rip the track with you this season.

lookin good Gregg.
hey your garage floor looks cool.
gotta ask..isn't it a pain in the ass to work your Pitbull stand/wheels on that diamond plate surface?
I tried that and lifting the front end was really hard to get over those bumps.

Thanks man! Just noticed the March 5th post/vid on Vandemon's site, pretty cool!!!

I'm itching to get some real riding in,,, do some real mileage in nice Spring weather,,,,,, when it stops snowing!

Man WAIT 'till you hear it run! YouTube clips really don't do it justice.

No kidding.. took the bike for a spin today, for the first time since having everything installed. Holy **** does it sound straight up VICIOUS. People were breaking mad neck. You really have to hear it in person to understand how beautiful it sounds. Not just loud for the sake of being loud, it's like music!

I'm tellin' you man. I can't wait to get it on the track at full song at 180mph down the front straight. I think that the paddock will hear the bike all around the 2 mile course. Now I have to travel with 2 bikes to the track in case I get kicked out or black flagged for the noise.
