Wheelie Control

So I have a 2011 ZX10R modded to the hilt and love it big time. I had the ECU reflashed by Don Ghual and its the best mod I didn't orher than my BST wheels. But I tend to ride with the traction control off all the time. I ride with it off because I love to do wheelies and with the system on you can't. I hope the H2 has a separate wheelie control that you can shut off like the R1M that would be so freaking awesome! Anyone know if it does?

The KTRC can be turned off...as for the Launch Control...I see that as only really applying to full throttle take-offs...not rolling lofts?????It says it optimizes wheel slip...I suggest that means...on hard ass takeoffs...something independent of the KTRC...we'll see...should be some info coming out fairly soon about just how these systems are working...and under what conditions.KLCM may be also possibly turned off...IDK.
We'll with the front and rear wheel speed sensors going at differant rates because the front wheel is in the air that's when my 10R starts to limit the power. I ride with it off all the time but it would be nice to be able to have the TC on and still be able to clutch it up in third for about. 1/4 mile! Lol
;)...Maybe the Launch Control system allows just that. This bike's electronics are really tricked out....well past any current sportbike(aside from electronic suspension adjusting). What some other brands may be using....I think the kawasaki has those covered, just under a different 'name'.It may well be that this bike uses it's electronics to produce the same effect some of the others are touting as 'new'....I'd say...even MORE advanced.

I can't remember just now which bike it is...but it has this 6 way axis mode...something like that.Okay...so big deal...a 9 point KTRC on the Kawasaki certainly will match that....and combine that with the other trick settings...well ahead IMO.This thing is wildly strong...much more than any vids have shown.

I'm awaiting Ricky's findings about just what this beauty is able to do.If anyone can push this bike...it's him.Like to see Ben Spies on her as well;)

x2 also can't wait to see what his findings will be like :D
I think he's gonna be at the NY bike show next week....I'm hoping to get a chance to talk to him about it....
Oh yea he'll be there, check out the H2R pics on his instagram, all hashtaged NYbikeshow Instagram

Doing that stuff in public is the one best way to kill-off sport bikes for the rest of us. Have you seen all the press on those sub-human types doing this stuff on the freeway? Guess what makes the news and peoples memory? These people vote.
Because of your monumental insecurity and need to be looked at and in your mind you are some kind of hero you will be the primary cause for more legislation.

Ever wonder why your insurance is so high ? Ever wonder why people aren't smiling when you do this?

Ever wonder if one day you might grow up.

Do us all a favor a pick another sport.
Well I try not to be that guy but I do enjoy blowing a wheelie as long as it's safe and I'm not going to freak any drivers out. I'm a little touched but I've also made it to 45 and respect others so hope that counts for something. :)
Fretka says..."Ever wonder if one day you might grow up.

Do us all a favor a pick another sport."...and this gem..."Because of your monumental insecurity and need to be looked at and in your mind you are some kind of hero you will be the primary cause for more legislation".....okay...slow down...take a deep breath, and center yerself.

I was kidding about the wheely thing.I don't(and wouldn't)ride a wheely down main street at 90 mph....EVER.I don't ride wheelies in traffic.Fact is...I really don't 'wheely' at all...I may loft the front occasionally..like maybe 8" off the deck...for MAYBE 60 feet or so....out on the open roads I ride..where there's VERY LITTLE traffic. But that's it.If our sport gets 'killed off' because of the idiots that pull that kind of BS...It won't be because of me....I can assure you of that my friend....and BTW...you've NEVER lofted the frontend(of any bike) mildly off the ground in your years of riding?.....try to lighten up just a tad...okay?we're all grownups here...I think. Not 20 year olds trying to prove something.

Kinda cool you can read my mind and see my 'motives'...maybe you should get a nice safe job like "Psychologist" or something;)Perhaps maybe 'forum Therapist"????Your assessment is totally 180 degrees out on my diagnosis...but practice makes perfect...I enjoyed yer assessment of me...;)I'll try REALLY HARD to keep my KTRC on "rain mode" for you...deal?

I guess THIS is 'okay' though...right?

Or this?...this is okay also, right? You'll notice here...this driver MUST have been using her head in this manuever..she speeds above the posted limit past me,with her BRAKES applied...swerves into MY lane...applying brakes..and slows in front of me...Yep...those darn bikers..outta be a law against em,ya think? There IS a God...LMAO!!!I kinda doubt her saying to that officer.."I didn't SEE him" went over too well...especially since he was back there following her a ways off and saw the whole thing;)

I don't see any traffic here...YOU?

This wasn't YOU was it Fretka?Didn't anyone tell you just how unsafe it is to the public to be taking your HAND off the bars..would be kinda hard to keep that 'rig' from jackknifing in an emergency stop...ya think?..?????Even if yer only doing...50mph;)

That gal in that Red Van...she never even signalled she was gonna pull into my lane...and PURPOSELY was hitting her brakes not 20 feet in front of me...some people's kids...I swear;)If yer passing someone...since when do ya attempt to go SLOWER after passing?Sheesh.

That silver cage..she was comfortably sitting in a Bank parking lot exit...as I was approaching...I'm guessing here she wanted to PROVE just how fast she could f...my day up by flooring it and attempting to jet in front of me...She slowed..(just in time I might add)to 'allow' me to keep moving...but missed me by only a couple of feet.Had she simply waited two more seconds...she'd have had the whole road to herself...but NOOOOOO.

Lol silver too funny! Love it! Insurance too high? Hmmmm I never looked at how much it was? Note to self check insurance on the ZX14 & 10R..... Aaaaa F it who cares live life as an adventure and never trade the thrills of living for the security of existence!

PS old guy here that will never grow up.....if that's the way you think you might as well go buy a Three wheel gold wing.......:D
And to Fretka...I'm 61 yrs old...I don't think at THIS point I need a 'crutch' like a superbike to make me feel okay with me;)I simply love my Ninjas...period.I could care less whether ANYONE goes gaga or not;)(which they do sometimesLOL!!!)

You should see their expressions when they say..."you ride a WHAT?"...taking my helmet off at a gas stop or something...(or getting pulled over)...they're like..."okay...what's wrong with this picture?"...LOL!!...usually,I just come back with something like ...http://youtu.be/-QWL-FwX4t4 I love it!I wouldn't have it any other way...Ninjas Rule!!!

Somefun said..."Insurance too high? Hmmmm I never looked at how much it was?"...great minds think alike..don't they?LOL!!!Ya just don't get in any wrecks...that solves that.

Look at those pics above Fretka...the bonehead cage riders I mean...if I'd been on a cruiser...the outcomes would have been VERY DIFFERENT;)My Ninja saved my arse again!Mind you...I was doing the speed limit...(actually,3 mph LESS than displayed...counting the factory speedometer readings settings).

Nothing like getting off topic. Anyway about your original post I had a Gen 4 10R and the wheelie control is not really "wheelie control" it's just a product of the KTRC. From what I have read and understand the KRTC on the H2 will operate the same as on the 10R. Therefore, one you become familiar with the H2 you should have some real fun pulling the occasional wheelie or lofting the wheel or whatever you want to call it. ;)
I wonder what the buyer demographics are. I suspect it's mostly, ahem, "mature" riders.

47 years old here (will be 48 by the time I can ride this beast), had a motorcycle license for 26 years, roadracing license since 1992.

Dude this is the topic. Shutting off wheelie control but not the traction control...:nerd:
I would imagine BOTH those systems can be turned off...I KNOW the Ktrc can...I saw the "off" window being displayed in one of the pics on the web.As for the launch control deal...apparently this allows full throttle take offs....if you're NOT full throttling it(and you won't be I don't think)just to ride a wheely...then it probably has a VERY mild setting to it that basically wouldn't kick in for something like that anyway...just guessing...they KNOW guys are gonna want to wheely this bike...I doubt they'll take that away from us.It's supposed to be a fun machine...I think the Kawi engineers understand...fun;)
