I'm curious to what sort people are drawn to H2's. They are not quite out the realms of what I would say general average earning people.

I myself do not have loads of expendable cash. I had a dream of owning one and made it happen. It is financed so don't own it out right but intentions are to keep this till my riding days are over.

I am a care home manager for young people so earn in the circa of 35k I have a family and 2 children 4 and 7 so like say I not got loads cash to splash.

If you want to post up feel free as always quite on here so wanted to see what people do and why attracted to the H2.

Here's a list of bikes from start to finish what I have owned.

Fz50
Rd50
Ts50er
Rg125
Rg250
Gpz550
Rd350ypvs
Ts125x
Kmx200

I am 32 years old. I have a full time manufacturing job that pays 26k a year. The majority of my income is from flipping cars and motorcycles. I make about double what I do at my day job doing that.

I started out on the 70s era Honda CB 100, 350, 500, 750 then moved on to sport bikes starting with a 1998 zx-9r then an 02 r6 then an 04 r1 then an 08 zx6r which I still plan to keep. All those were bought used. Last year I purchased my first brand new motorcycle a 2015 Triumph Thunderbird Storm. I plan to keep it as well. Luckily I am in a financial position to start my collection without having to sell the previous bike. I have put a deposit down on the 2017 H2 Carbon so now just waiting.

Selenap - Thanks for your service.

49 yrs old, retired. Sold my manufacturing company in 2014 after 20 years building the co to a very large German Corp. Married 22 years (to my high school sweetheart) our son is 16, daughter 15. After law school "switched gears" & was a stock broker prior to starting the business that I sold.

Started riding dirt bikes as a kid, did some local racing, first street bike was 30 + years ago at 18 yrs of age, a used 1984 1100cc V65 Magna which was more affordable & exciting to me than buying a car. 2nd bike was a used 1985 V65 Magna. First sport bike was a used 1986 Ninja 1000R. First new bike was a 1987 Yamaha FZR1000. Then caught the Harley bug w/ a 1989 1200 Sportster, 1990 Softail Custom, etc. etc. Back to the sport bikes in 2004 w/ a Ninja 10R. Etc.

The bikes that I currently own :
1993 Harley Davidson Heritage Nostalgia (bought new 23 years ago)
2004 Harley Davidson Screamin Eagle Electra Glide (bought new)
2015 Ninja H2
2016 Harley Davidson CVO Street Glide.

I was caught napping during the deposit time frame for the 2015. Saw pictures of the H2, really loved the way it looked & was really interested in the technology and of course the possibilities w/ a proper reflash but once I saw the bike in person I knew I had to grab one. The fit, finish, level of craftmenship & custom attention to every detail was jaw dropping to me, but by that time there were no H2s to be purchased new in my area. Started calling local dealerships & expanded the search from there, probably called 20 Kawi dealers looking for one, mostly got laughed at. Finally found one in the crate in West Virginia over 400 miles away. The original customers financing fell through & they not only had all the items that came in the H2 kit but after some haggling were willing to sell it for $24,000 ($25k was the 15's MSRP). Don't imagine they sell a lot of H2's in W.V. Bought the bike on that initial phone call to the dealer. Drove to W.V. w/ my wife 2 days later & rode the bike home only stopping for lunch & gas. My first service/oil change was performed on the 2nd day of ownership.

Here she is at first gas stop (think I needed like 5 or 6 of those that day) bone stock, stickers still on the tank, reflectors, fugly license plate bracket, temp plate. I'll never forget that ride, what a fun day.

Yes that's correct bob , I don't think the other two or three owners who were also there are on this forum ?
I think one was a journalist but cannot remember the occupation of the others .

Me neither, I guess we should have exchanged names.

I remember the journalist and I do remember that one owner had his BMW car painted in Golden Blazed Green which caught the interest of the Japanese team.

Got started at 18 as a navy submarine sailor and after continued upgrading to stints in industrial electronics repair and as a Cad designer and app support at Ford Motors. Today Sr IT support at a global parts/consumables distribution company.

After years being around many different bikes IMO the Kawi is engineered as good or better and also looks better than the other makes to me. The new H2 iterations just push forward that point even more. Of course not knocking other makes as the only Bad bike is one that doesn't run when you wanna ride :)
