I don't have experience with these apps so was hoping to get some input on which one you use & why?
I downloaded the Free Speedometer app on my iPhone, seems to work pretty well, are they very accurate, real actual? You can set points and the color of the speed will change from green to red when you hit that set mph/kph. Has a GPS Black box, etc. You can also change the screen so that the mph/kph #'s are really large. Few screenshots:

For I phone and not free Race Camera ,
gives speed in MPH, KPH, KTS
and also displays altitude, heading, time, distance and acceleration
and as the name suggests video
Developed by one of the Bonneville landspeed racers, Don Pearsall
Found the link as its not always easy to find
https://itunes.apple.com/au/app/race-camera/id724048633?mt=8

I use it more as a general video , last time hiking used it a bit to show the altitude on screen

Phone apps are handy & cheap. But if you ride outside of your cellphone range then it’s NG.

To get my max-speed reading runs on the street I used this Garmin GPS:

For the track I use SpeedAngle, laptimer/max-speed reader & lean angle data recorder:
