Wanting to buy a fuel tank

After an OEM silver mirrored fuel tank. My H2 fell over in the van today, base holding the wheel chock flew up and sent the H2 flying into the van's sliding door and left an enormous dent and a smaller dent on the left side of the tank, as well as snapping the left wingmirror clean off.

I want to spew honestly. Feeling physically sick just looking at it as is... Barely owned it two weeks and an unfortunate event has ruined it entirely for me.

If you have bought a carbon kit or something and want to sell your OEM tank please message me!

I was told that there may be a issue with matching the paint (on the new tank) with the rest of the bike. Hopefully that's not true. Has anyone heard this?
I may be needing a new tank. My self healing paints not healing. (Minor scratches)
Gents, they do have several companies that make complete tank covers in Carbon Fiber, for the H2 tank specifically. I havent seen one in person, but an option.

Bike slipped off my Abba stand whilst I was getting it off for some photos and fell away from me and bang, tank dented and paint flaked off. So gutted cant tell you

According to my dealer the 2016-2019 mirror coated spark black tanks are on factory back order in Japan.
There are none currently available through the European hub in The Netherlands with a 6-10 week lead time.
Maybe the US has stock but that’s what I’m being told here in the UK as a customer recently ordered one.
If anyone wants a mirror coated black tank for a 2015 H2 there is a new, boxed tank available on UK eBay :

A warning to new H2 owners. The point of gravity is a little different to some other bikes and the side stand on an H2 could be either have a little more angel or a little shorter which it doesn't. So when parking the bike it should be a little heavy to lift to the vertical and the bike should be laterally horizontal or slightly up hill when parking. Be warned, they are known to fall over.
So has anyone found a bodyshop or specialist that can actually follow the correct process & match the mirror spark black or mirror black colour correctly? I’ve not heard of paint repairs on the forum to date.

Yeah, the H2 has been known to effect gravity a little differently
(rolling eyes)

NOLA.
I have a tank that has scratch on it but no dents if anyones interested.
So, if anyone wants a new fuel tank...Beware.
The picture is from my dealer fitting ancillaries from the old tank to new.
Look at the gap around the fuel filler where it meets the tank, absolutely shocking, built beyond belief...
Needless to say it was packaged up and returned to Japan as the captive bolts are welded in place so no adjustment is available.
Very poor and apparently an 8-16 week wait before a new batch arrives.
Makes me wonder how many of the new bikes have poor build, mine is not perfect, more or less the same as my 16 but still far better than this.
Worth a look if you have a new bike or tank on order.

Me too Nola, with tooling, templates and QC (obviously no QC) how can that even get out the door, I saw it, it’s actually worse than it looks on the picture.

My driveway is on a slight decline, if the front wheel is turned to the right, the bike will come off the stand and fall! Under all parking conditions, the front wheel "must always" be turned to the left to avoid the bike from coming off the side stand, in any type of incline or decline condition.

Guy here had his week old SX SE fall over on to gravel, again not having enough downward force on the side stand. He was standing back to take a photo of his new joy and watched it fall in what he said was 'slow motion'.
Well done for not accepting that tank , not good enough for a 1970s Jawa , CZ or MZ let alone an H2 .
I have a tank what’s your email I can send pics
Hi just wondering if anyone knows if there is a carbon fuel tank at all? been looking around but seems like there maybe not be anyone around manufacturing it
