Kudo's to you @TedG That is looking pretty awesome.
I was given one of those kits, opened it, loved the look of the parts and then closed it, put it on the shelf above the bike.

I'll wait till I have a couple of broken legs to build it. :)

What are you going to paint the tank/body with?

That is a good question. I want to paint a helmet so this is what I am thinking.
1. There is some chrome paint that actually is a decent chrome made by Alsa.
2. Then there is a paint that you use to make chrome look like black chrome, it takes many coats so the darkness is adjustable.
That should get it close. And do it to the model.

Wow, that chrome looks really great.

Loved the titanium candy blend on the bicycle helmet in his next clip too.

I look forward to seeing your helmet!

I have used that dupli colour by dupont for doing "shadow chrome" effect alloy wheels it comes in water bourne and solvent based and is good stuff. The solvent variant is more chrome but wow it is some strong smelli g stuff even with a mask on!! I tend to paint a nice gloss black top coat as a undercoat then wait til its fully dry then gently apply that top chrome effect on top. Its very potent and can aggrivate or eat into undercoat uf applied too fast and wet. Unless you use the water option which isnt as chrome 😞
