Hey guys... I have a question.. The valve is pointing upwards. That means that if you clean your motorcycle generously, water can remain on the edges ... and possibly also dirt. I mean, it's not so well hidden that it's safe from any environmental influences at this point.

Although air is expelled when you open it... I'm still kind of afraid that dirt could get lost in there, or am I seeing it completely wrong?!?!

I would love to have this valve because I just love the sound.

I asked this at Extreme Creations but didn't get an answer. Maybe because the question was so stupid =?

I have this valve and i have also mounted it upwards like in the picture.
I don't think water or dirt can get in easily. The valve sits under the tank and when you are cleaning the bike the valve is in the closed position so nothing can get in.

However i am planning on refitting it again facing downwards. Not because of the dirt/water but more because i hope the sound will be a bit less loud. I mean this valve is a must have for the H2 but it is ridiculously loud!

If you do decide to get the valve make sure you hook it up to the trottlebodies vacuum and not to the valve thingy.

No i am talking about the vacuum hose that operates the valve.
It should go directly to the trottlebodies vacuum connection. Not to the ECU controlled electronic valve!

This is right, I have the Turbosmart BOV as well and it is connected from the throttle body.
Not had any trouble with water getting into the BOV to date, and don't expect it to. Rain would be hard to get there, and washing is not done with much water pressure anyway. Plus the valve is in the closed/shut off position until decellerating anyway.

is there a guide when you order it?

what is the advantage of this method of connecting it like this?

The least we can say is that "extrem creation" are not very motivated to answer their client's questions(n), too bad because they have a good product! (y)
They don't need to sell!;)
The fitment procedure is pretty straight forward, I left the oem switch valve connected to exclude any possible fault code occurring, just removed the connected hoses.

The hose used comes from the throttle body and has the curved bend in it close to where it fits on the BOV. This hose usually fits onto the oem valve switch. Hope this makes sense.
