To recap what Ricky Gadson said today:

- Less than 500 bikes will be made PERIOD
- Will have the highest HP we will most likely see in our lifetime
- Will NOT be a "race" version of the bike - BUT he did say lets see?
- It will REVOLUTIONIZE the motorcycle industry
- It will be the Bugatti of the motorcycle industry
- It will be faster than anything ever made on 2 wheels
- It will have a soft launch here in the US a couple weeks later in Orlando - GOING!!!

What worries me about this is Gadson himself, the man only moves in a straight line. Kawasaki using him to seep out information to the relevent demo's tells us nearly everything we need to know about his bike IMO.

The old adage goes if you're seeing it, its for you. Ok, who seeing Gadson, guys who drag, not guys who track. Ostensibly Kawasaki is saying this bike will be straight line weapon.

For contrast look at what Yam did with the little R25, they used valentino rossi to push its handling characteristics, the demographic was GP crazed south east asians who want to ride little sport bikes...
The hope I now have, is that the technology from the H2 trickles down and we end up with a supercharged hyperbike. Aka zx15 or whatever. Rumors were, before the 14r came out; that this would be the case. It didn't happen. Maybe now it will.

I need the size bike of a zx14r, busa, etc. If this is the path kawi has to take to make the next zx14r a factory supercharged bike, then I'm all for it.

Make your insanely expensive Ducati Superleggera fighter, and give me 300hp and new technology in 3-4 years. My bike will be paid for then, and I'll be ready.
It wouldn't make sense to make less than 500 of them or not have the tech trickle down to other models. The development and marketing costs will already have eaten into any profits for the short-medium term future. The limited edition/Special models generally come later in the production runs but who knows.

True, but thats based on the assumption that the H2 is pegged as a money maker. Its completely possible Kawi wants to build a world beater of a bike costs be dammed. KHI isn't starving, I'd say its a toss up between them and Honda for who makes more money as a whole company, so its possible the bike is simply a halo for them to wear and say NOW WHAT!!!!

500 would probably fit the demand. Ducati made 1500 Desmos 10 years ago. These days the sport bike market (especially in the US) is pretty dead. They had sales numbers in Q2 2013 alone drop by around 23%.

I doubt it will be a drag bike, the video shows a sport bike in superbike silhouette.

Since the production seems to be limited I'm expecting higher prices than the original $26k I though of. Following those words I'd say north of $35k.

We will see. I'll be at AIM next month. With checkbook.

Agreed but I also said something to filter down to other bikes and not a stand-alone like a Veyron. As much $$ as they have, they're not going to create a "show bike" without leveraging that into other models. They have a business to run and SS bikes are not doing it for them ATM.

It also seems like the industry needs it, something fresh, which from what I have seen here, it's what Kawi is doing.

Only 500? It does not make sense, pretty sure Kawasaki invested money on R and D and it will be very hard to recover on 500 units alone. ANd also the Japanese loves to produce things in great numbers.

Perhaps 500 units for the H2-R, I would not mind because it has no freaking headlights but I will be heart broken if the 500 count will also include the street version of the h2-r

If it is equipped the the 15-18,000.$ Ohlins fg300, it would cost more
