Hi all, their has recently been quite a lot of negativity on this forum which is unfortunate. I have played my part in this and apologise if I have offended anyone. This forum is a great source of information for all of us and would be great to keep it friendly.

Well, I'm aware I can be a little abrasive at times as I tend to speak my mind and react very quickly. I'm not easily offended myself at all but when so many interesting threads end in childish bickering it will start to make this forum less appealing to all. :)

Now......after all that, can you tell me about your Vmax. Is it the late model high horsepower one? Are they really that exciting to ride? Can you post a pic of it? How does it compare to the H2? I realise completely different kettle of fish but interested in your thoughts
Jeffro ;)

YEp happy with that. I have to say it's good your leading by example and like you perhaps have been over anxious in my responses, so for what it's worth I apologise also. I think something worth thinking about is giving people the benefit of the doubt before replying negatively as no one here are experts in my eyes, just trying to enjoy talking about our dream bikes :D
I must say up until recently I really enjoyed the forum and have found it to be a wealth of information. I was actually recently going to pull the pin on the forum, but now have been a little rejuvenated...
Take it easy and if I offended anyone please accept my apologies

Hmmm...I can't help but wonder if somebody helped broker this peace deal?
If they did, Thanks!
I wonder if all of the dirt that was spread around Our Library can be cleaned
up so when we go back searching for something, we won't have to track through
this crap all of the time?

The Vmax is an amazing machine. Nothing is like it. If, like me, you like the feeling of acceleration then this is the bike to try. If you give it a fist full it literally feels like a car hit the back of you.

Bad points, it's heavy and feels it at low speed.

Guzzles fuel, about 20mpg or less.

Has a tiny fuel tank that makes the above more of a problem.

I would say it's the perfect stable mate for the h2. I'm waiting for an American specialist to develop a twin screw sc for it. I'll post some pics soon.

Oh yes. No one asked me to attempt to diffuse the slight situation but I enjoy this forum and have a terrible sense of humour so thought it's better if we all get along. I'm sure if we were all in a bar rather than on here we would all get along great. Expression is lost on a keyboard so people's emotions or intent is harder for everyone to judge. :)

Yes I can say acceleration is one my favourite pastimes! Sounds awesome and as for its drawbacks well you'd have to expect some :) Interesting how you want to SC it. Yes a couple pics would be great some time ;)

As for your last paragraph it's good we are all a bit less stressed about everything. Taking out of context is always a problem with the written word. I may be a bit like you, I am forthright and sometimes gets me into trouble but usually there is no malice.
Have nice day...and oh we're not all convicts ha!

I cleaned up the thread in question. Have a look ... it is a lot shorter now.

It's easier to deal with these situations if they are nipped in the bud ... but I'm not here 24/7 and nor are the VerticalScope folks. And when I do log on, I certainly don't look everywhere and see everything. If you want to draw our attention to something, go ahead and hit that "report post" button. (Exclamation mark inside a triangle, bottom left of every post.) I'm looking at the log now, and we haven't had a single reported post since December!

Still doesn't mean I can always get to it right away ... e.g. tomorrow I'll be spending about 6 hours in my car and 4 hours at a job site (I have a real job to do) but at least I'll know where to look.

And yes, I had been thinking about editing that thread, but the suggestion above motivated me to do it.

Forums are a great place for info and to even mate mates. I've mad loads over the years I consider close friends and sese often.

But it can also be a place people an easily get the wrong end of the stick, For right or wrong. So I try and be careful what I write.

Life's to short and i've hardly every got on my high horse about a person. And why mods are here to help

I've probably got more reported posts and infractions here than anyone, because we were having issues with the system a while back so I volunteered to be the victim while the admin people did what they had to do!

(not all that much exciting happens when you press that button ... it just opens up a screen for you to fill out the reason you're reporting the post)

Nor I. Was envisioning something like:

But glad you boys made up, group hug? Nah but forums are a breeding ground for arguments, like texts often situations occur that may not have in person.

The VMAX is at the top of a short list of bikes that I've always wanted to own but never got there. Going all the way back I was a freshman in college, had my first street bike a V65 Magna & had a poster on my dormitory wall of the first year (1985) VMAX. I should have pulled the trigger on that Carbon Fiber edition, couple of years back. Shame too that Euro 4 has ended the bikes life, short run of MY 2017's & done. Big thanks to more big government over reach, ridiculous policies focused in the wrong places making life better for everyone.
