Prior to EICMA we had roughly speculated on the differences between the H2 and H2R based on mild visual cues. Now we have the specs to facilitate a legitimate discussion.

Compression Ratio

H2R: 8.3:1
H2: 8.5:1

Final Reduction Ratio

H2R: 2.333 (42/18)
H2: 2.444 (44/18)

Rake

H2R: 25.1 degrees
H2: 24.5 degrees

Trail

H2R: 108 mm
H2: 103 mm

Dimensions

H2R:

Length: 2,070 mm
Height: 1,160 mm
Wheelbase: 1,450 mm
Seat Height: 830 mm
Curb Mass: 216 kg

H2:

Length: 2,085
Height: 1,125 mm
Wheelbase: 1,455 mm
Seat Height: 825 mm

Thanks for the spec sheets but another interesting fact that maybe has been pointed out already is that a 2016 Kawasaki H2 will be manufactured. The only difference is the colour for the 2015 version is unique.

Will add this as well from manuals of both (h2 and h2r)


Engine:
H2: Ignition timing 10deg BTDC @ 1,100r/min (rpm) ~33deg BTDC @ 11,000r/min (rpm)
H2R: Ignition timing 10deg BTDC @ 1,100r/min (rpm) ~38.3deg BTDC @ 5,500r/min (rpm)


Trans:
H2: Over Drive Ratio 5.110 (top gear)
H2R: Over Drive Ratio 4.878 (top gear)
