the broad from brocks said today that i really dont need any fuel map with the slip on , ive heard conflicting opinions here i guess it makes sense any ideas here i think iam gonna get the brocks alien head slip on

Never heard anything conflicting on that.

Full system = tuning (new mapping)
Slip on = no tuning (runs fine on stock map)

With a slip on it barely changes the way the engine breathes. You just get a bit of different sound, weight savings, and looks.

It's when you de cat, change header dimensions, and remove the exhaust servo that there is a substantial change. That's when you need the tuning.

Do you "need" a tune to safely run a slip on. Nope.

You don't need to do anything, I put on an Austin Racing Muffler (muffler in name only), and no difference apart from looks, possibly a little more HP in the higher rev range.
