Hello Everyone,

I’m new to the forum. I’ve been searching for an H2 for a while now. I finally found one. I am going to look at it this week. It’s a completely stock 2015.
My concern is the bikes sat for 7 years…this was purchased and put into storage. It has 200 miles on it. He did and sent me a video of it running. No lights, no codes… it was showing an ABS light but he said after he drove it around the block the light went away and it’s off in the video.

Did he say if he occasionally started the bike to at least get the engine running up to temp?
My thought is I would buy it if everything is working as it should.
Guess you could always run some injector cleaner additive for a tank or two if you are worried.
The ABS light always comes on until you start moving forward, then it turns off, this is normal.
Out of interest how much is he asking for an otherwise mint bike?

Thanks for the reply. Okay, that’s good to know about the ABS! Yeah the bike looks great. I don’t think he started it often though. I purchased a similar bike deal recently a 2009 R6. 300 miles on it. When I got it home and took the fairing off to see the coolant, it was solid black. Figured blown head gasket and screwed but it was just super dirty fluid. I’ll definitely change all the fluids as soon as I get it. I think he removed the battery and trickle charged it when he was ready to sell. I’m hoping the tires are in good shape I’m not sure if he has stands.

Fair enough on the fluids changing. I would consider new tyres anyway as after 7 years they wont be in the best riding condition even if hardly worn, from what I've read on tyres.

I'd say go for it.

Not quite sure what you mean, but I have a 2015 H2, and 2000 A1 ZX12R in my title pic.

Also you will probably see a New Member post from a bloke in Sydney, AUS, who has just purchased a 2015 H2 that's been sitting in a room for years, he seems pretty happy with the purchase, so all good there.

Cheers,
Don.

Sorry, That was a bad post on my part. I meant to say, he sent me a picture of the title. On his title under body type it says “SP”. The next line says Make and it says “ZX1000”.
I would of expected it to say Kawasaki and H2 under the make.
The Vin is a Kawasaki H2 so all good there just a little unusual under make and model. Curious if anyone else has a title they could look at.

An old post, I would consider changing the brake caliper seal sets, at least keep a very close eye on fluid leaks all over the bike. Also take it very easy running it in again. A lot of small parts can fail after sitting for so long. Dump the fuel and change parts you can, if those small parts fail, the result can be much worse. What a great find, I'd buy it.
