2018 H2R

This is my first bike. I heard they're easy to ride. ;)

Ok, fine. I've been riding for 32 years. After selling my TZ250 and riding a street/track Ducati for a while, I realized that I was no longer interested in the "street" part of that equation.

I鈥檓 currently looking hard at a H2 SX SE. The only problem is I can only have one bike at a time, and the wife likes to ride with me on occasion, but she won鈥檛 ride with without a top box or some sort of backrest. And she鈥檚 not a fan of the frog position that most sportbikes have for the pillion. But I need to find a way to have the SX SE!

Bikes from current to first.
- 2017 BMW R1200 RT
- 2015 Honda VFR Intercepter
- 2016 Honda Gold Wing
- 2014 BMW K1600 GTL Exclusive
- 2004 Honda ST1300
- 2003 Honda VFR
- 2001 Suzuki GSXR 1000
- 2000 BMW R1100 RT
The rest were so long ago I don鈥檛 remember the years:
- Honda 750 Interceptor
- Suzuki 550 Katana
- Yamaha 750 cruiser
- Yamaha SR 500

Rambler, first, nice collection,u can only have one at a time? ,so, I assume u currently have the 2017 beemer, and no other bikes? In regards H2SX,installing a "backrest"
Would be futile, and look ridiculous, and u still would have passenger doing "froggy "
Cause of the passenger foot pegs! Check out the Kawasaki concours, its fast and sporty....and comfy for wifey馃槣

Mechanical engineer (automation/robotics), soon to semi-retire, 52.

In order:
1984 Honda 450 Nighthawk bought used, sold after one season
1987 Kaw Ninja 750, bought new non-current, traded in after 5 years and 118,000 km for ...
1994 Kaw ZX9R, bought new, sold after 10 years and 118,000 km for ...
2004 Kaw ZX10R, bought new, still have it, 102,000 km on it.
2015 Kaw H2, bought new, still have, 9000 km on it.

In the meantime:
2008 Honda CBR125R, bought new, sold with 40,000 km to a friend (who promptly crashed it at Deals Gap!)
2011 Honda CBR125R, bought new, still have it, 53,000 km on it
1990 Yam FZR400, bought as a race bike to have a spare for my own, registered it for the road, still have it.

Race bikes:
1987 Kaw EX500, bought thrashed, sold after 4 seasons even more thrashed. The chap who bought it has long since parted it out.
1989 Yam FZR400, bought as a street bike and converted it, this was my race/track bike from 1996 through 2018. Still have it, but she's parked in front of a wall of trophies and will stay there.
2015 Yam R3, bought as a street bike and converted it. Haven't ridden it yet!
