Holy Heck, that street bike has one BIG A exhaust. And I thought the 14r pipes were bad. at least they are on both sides to help balance it a bit.

On engines with forced induction, exhaust improvements make HUGE improvements compared to naturally aspirated engines.
I'm willing to bet that exhaust modifications will be "must have" on the H2 because they will offer a HUGE return on investment compared to previous bikes.
So, ugly or not, the stock exhaust won't be on many bikes for long.

I'm thinking it might look like the double muffler on the ninja 1000 . Although I hope not.

Agreed.
Congrats on your first post of any value in any of the threads I started with new official info.

Info regarding the H2 from Sport Rider Magazine:

Is this the New 2015 Kawasaki H2 street version teaser video? | Sport Rider

"The video starts with two darkened profiles of motorcycles, with a "Track" designation shown before the H2R is shown, and then a "Street" moniker before a darkened profile image of the H2 is shown, followed by the question "Track or Street?" A license plate hanger, larger double-stacked muffler similar in design to the Ninja 1000's, and mirrors in place of the airfoils on the H2R clearly show the street legal intentions of the H2. Kawasaki is claiming "only" 200 horsepower for the H2, versus the claimed 300 horsepower of the track-only H2R, which is likely a nod toward keeping boost levels in check to ensure avoiding engine-life-threatening detonation in the stop-and-go and lower octane pump fuel environment of the street, as well as attempting to keep the H2 from being too visible on the radar of platform-pounding politicians and governments."

If "Kawasaki is claiming "only" 200 horsepower for the H2" and this is an accurate statement of the H2's true HP output, I am greatly disappointed. :(

Hopefully, Kawasaki is greatly understating the actual horsepower of the H2 versus the many manufacturers which routinely overstate horsepower output.

BMW was able not to need to neuter the engine on the S1000RR to meet North American emission standards.

Hopefully, Kawasaki has been able to do this as well with the engine on the H2 for North America... I'm not big on having to spend extra $$ for an ECU reflash.

Bad part I see coming about it being neutered to 200hp, is that it might be done via supercharger drive. IE the gearing is inside the engine. If that's the case, and its boost limited vs the "R" race version, good luck getting around that without a teardown to change the "charger" drive.

Like in this pic. see the housing on top just below the right side frame? Hopefully it can be unbolted w/o splitting the case.

I remember reading somewhere that it was similar to a variable vein supercharger or something along those lines, so odds are it will be electronically tunable. I would be sorely disappointed if it was neutered at S1000RR levels out of the gate, but I don't see them doing that.

Probably so, nothing a slip on wont cure. Unless you live where changing exhaust is illegal. Like California (I think).
