Here come to go fast goodies and from Akrapovic no less, Akra has agreed to debut their new slip-on system with the Ninja H2...





Titanium Tubes
Carbon Fibre outer shell
Carbon Fibre Mounting bracket

Now the question is 1) cost and 2) will a full system follow?

I'm guessing the pricing for this slip on would be the usual $1,000+ and if a full system follows with titanium headers looking upwards of $2,000. Along with the full system expect to spend another $500 for a FI (Bazzaz, powercommander) plus dyno tune another $1000.

I'd like to hear the slip on without the db killer in place.

Too bad there's no video to go with this but it's good to see that Akra acted as quick as they did with coming up with an exhaust for the H2.

Thanks for the post with pics regarding the Akrapovic Slip-On for the H2, Bazza!

Certainly, a different design from Akrapovic.

I definitely expect a Full System to be forthcoming... looking forward to the Dyno and dB numbers from Akrapovic.

Akrapovič recently showcased a brand-new concept exhaust that caused quite a stir when it was unveiled at the recent Intermot show, as did the Supercharged Kawasaki Ninja H2R—a machine labeled as “Built Beyond Belief.” Now the pair have met at EICMA in Milan, Italy, in the guise of the new road-going Kawasaki Ninja H2 machine and Akrapovič’s production version of its latest Slip-On system: the (r)evolutionary exhaust system.

I love the appearance of the Akrapovic Slip-0n. However, what I don't like it exposes more of the Cat converter which I don't like. Hopefully aftermarket comes up with a Belly Pan to improve the appearance.

If you're getting an H2.

Without a doubt you would have to get a full system. Just putting on a slip-on is basically cosmetics. All the weight of the cats, and hardware, must be removed, therefore needing to do the MAP/ECU flashing, After looking over the H2, the
exhaust system is a monstrosity. It must be completely removed.

I thought someone had posted somewhere on the forum the approximate weight of the H2s exhaust...

There is a 22 kg difference in curb weights between H2 and H2R, I imagine a significant chunk is the exhaust system, especially when the H2R is chucking out 120 db exhaust notes, you need a SERIOUS silencer...

Just great. They look awesome and surely will sound awesome. Loving the akra full system on my z1000, this is a must and probably my first mod on the H2.

I think the full system and a flash and that's going to be all I'm looking for. I have a heavy modded 10R that I love and ride at the track so I don't think this baby will go to the track much.....

I really like the Akrapovic brand, not cheap though. The slip-on is said to have an MSRP of $1755.00.

Thanks for the MSRP for the Slip-On.

Akrapovic has been my favorite brand previously... put full systems on my '08 ZX-14 SE, '09 YZF-R1 and '14 ZX-14R ABS.

However, not feeling any love for the design of the Akrapovic Slip-On for the H2.

Presumably, the same canister design will be used with the future Akrapovic Full System for the H2.

Will be looking at alternatives which I expect Rider's Discount will also carry. :)

Good info RD, I'm in agreement with will and zx, its not exactly pleasing to the eye, then again the H2 isn't exactly a pretty bike either.

Its like Lamborghini vs Ferrari, the Ferraris are elegantly and effortlessly pretty while the lambos have always been beautiful in that assault your senses steal your money beat you over the head kind of way. Beauty through brute force if you will.

Anyways a long winded way of saying I'd like to see a shorty megaphone style slip on... ;) Although thats probably not passing any Db tests...

$1,755.00 for that slip-on is toooo much $$$$$, for just a slip-on,
no if, and's, or but's about it.

Just like 25K is tooooo much for the H2.....:eek::eek::eek:

that's a lot for a slip on but then again it is from Akra, which in that case makes more sense :D

how much would you guys like to see this be priced around instead?
