Yeah I love the Yami display. Very Penegali. Kawi and BMW need to make the switch.
No way, much prefer the analogue tachometer, it looks that much cleaner..

The 2015 Yamaha YZF-R1 LCD Display needs more color for my preferences... perhaps this is actually user selectable in the Menu.

I'm "Old School" too... prefer analogue tachometers... like to see the needle climb!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder! :)

Negative. I agree with the others that I want an analog Tach and a digital speedo.

x2, that's how it should remain, it is what a good portion of enthusiasts want but of course who knows what the suits at Kawi will decide on, for all we know the future could be full digital. BUT thankfully for now we have what most (me too) would consider an ideal setup, for the most part.
I like analog Tach.

You don't have to look directly at it, to know where your at.

Digital has to be looked at, and read.

Actually, Kawasaki does use a side-to-side graph bar tachometer on the latest generation of the ZX-10R. See below.

I do find this Kawasaki design more visually pleasing and easily readable than the one on the 2015 Yamaha YZF-R1.

Personally, I'm still glad that Kawasaki didn't replicate this on the H2R and H2.

actually that's not bad, if they do go full digital on a bike like the H2, i wouldn't mind having that for an RPM gauge.
