Hi guys. Just wanted to know if some one had to change theyr supercharger chain or tensioner because of noise it made or just that the h2 has a recommendation on a certain km to change it? Reason why im asking is that when i blip the throttle on idle it sounds like a chain noise where the sc is.dont know if its normal as i only had the h2 for about 3 months and had 56300km on it.your help would be appreciated,thanx guys.

I'm certain no chain, its direct gears. Clean the airfilter and check for impeller play with your hand!
In-out movement, just noticeable is normal, any side play is not. 53300km equals a lot of checking and minor part changes, see the service manual. I just found out where the radiator overflow tank window is, above the front mudguard rhs, inner faring. Cheers.

End play is max 0.5mm, check with a dial gauge. There is a mandatory chain tensioner replacement due to a production problem, affects all H2's, take your bike into a Kawasaki dealer and get it done.

The recall is for the Cam chain tensioner (larger). The Supercharger chain tensioner seats adjacent(smaller). I dont think that has a recall. Service manual may have a recommendation for the chain and tensioner replacement.
