MotoJournal released their very own rendering of what they believe the new Ninja H2 could look like, what do you guys like/dislike about it?

Compare the above to what Kawaski released:

The part of the render that I don't like is the body work that covers where the engine is. I think that Kawasaki will find something better to do instead of just putting a panel there with a hole in it.

Like what? I mean realistically there is not much wiggle room with what can and cannot be done with a fairing...

Well not all fairings are the same, so I'm sure they can find something to do that is a bit more interesting. A few contours, maybe some graphics... I'm not a bike designer but I would think that bike designers would be able to come up with something a bit more innovative for a flagship model.
There is just not much that can be done with fairings, and the 'holes' are vents that help cool the engine, H2 being supercharged its going to need all the 'holes' they can muster without messing too hard with aero (although thats almost a paradox when it comes to motorbikes with monkeys on their backs ;))

The vents can be designed in different ways. Maybe in a way that makes them look a bit nicer so they don't get called holes.

here are some examples of different ways to design vents since you seem to not believe me that there is room for variation.

I have to say, I really like how simple it looks in the original render.
I'm just the type of person that likes simple looking things.
If you want the vents designed differently, why didnt you just say so in the first place ;)

P.S the S1000RR is universally accepted as the ugliest bike on the market, powerful yes, pretty no.

The second bike does not exist

and the 1098's vent is nearly identical to the original H2 render...
come on guys lets leave homer with the speed holes.

no matter what those holes will be at that spot. right behind the rad otherwise you would be heatsoaking the god **** thing.

as of right now all i can say is that i like the size and the tail end is pretty. i would really like to see a front end shot though.

Its more about the idea. Its not like that concept design vent is not possible or something. Sure the last one is similar to the render's but it is still different.

I don't see why you are so resistant to accepting that there is more than one way to design a vent. I didn't think that was particularly controversial. Should I find some more examples or differently designed vents for you? Ok.

Anyone else notice the hybrid trellis/spar frame? That can't be real, can it?
The render makes the front fairing look weird. What is going on with the windscreen. Is it grey plastic? SHouldn't it be clear instead?

maybe they forgot about making the windscreen appear clear.
Having some knowledge about photoshop, i think it's hard to make something appear clear, so they might have purposely missed that.
Only a few days left in the month ~ just hope we get the real deal this time around !

Vents add horsepower :D
That must be what your super flow dyno guy told you . . .
