Hey everyone, new guy here from Edmonton, AB, Canada. Don't have a H2 but I have a H2 SX/SE which is the next best thing. Gotta say I love this bike and have no regrets trading my ZX14R in, even though I miss the torque that thing made. My 2016 ZX14R spun 2 rod bearings at 3880kms. After 4 months of fighting with Kawasaki and promising them I would never buy another Kawasaki in my life (have owned 07 and 08 ZX6R's, 2015 ZX10R and the 2016 ZX14R SE), they finally covered the rebuild. After I picked the bike up it kept making weird noises, kept going back to the dealership and they said its normal. Eventually it got so loud that you could tell 100% what it was. The cct wasn't taking up the slack. Jumped a tooth during start up, caught it in time, put in a manual CCT, made horrible noises so I thought it bent a valve. Pulled the head off, no damage, no contact at all. Put it all back together, ran fine and sounded fine but the oil pressure light would stay on for 3-4secs during the first cold start of the day. Dealership said it was normal. Finally had enough of my rides being ruined by listening for noises and decided to jump to the H2 family. I have a back injury from the military so riding supersport bikes isn't really an option for me so I had to settle with the SX/SE. Now I constantly listen to noises on this bike....but its good noises. Love that supercharger and bov lol.

Leaving it stock is so fucking hard. My goals with it is to get it to 230whp which is what a unrestricted H2 makes correct? I already have the woolich auto tuner that I used on my other bikes so I just need the harness for the ecu. Will be going with the Sprint filter and a custom exhaust since there isn't many out there that I like. Looking to install the gen4 ZX10R headers and either a Akrapovic or Yoshimura Alpha can and have it customized to fit. Police are dicks here and our city is the first city in north America to start issuing photo radar sound dicks. If you go over 96db, you get a ticket in the mail 2-3 weeks later. Still in trial but knowing the city they will start soon. So I'm leaning more towards akrapovic, its a longer can and should be quieter, I know my 14R's akra was pretty quiet and the Yoshi alpha on my zx10r was loud as ****. Welcome, and good story. What I would do is get your Woolich harness, derestrict it, Sprint filter, and disable and unplug the exhaust butterfly. You may get what you need without the weekly ticket.

I don't ride much in the city, so it shouldn't be that hard. Plus I just get my Veteran plates, which gives you abit of leeway. I want to remove the cat for sure on the bike. It bottoms out when I use my ramps to load it onto my truck.

They had db reading boards for the sound setup but to many people were just trying to hit a high score and all the people that lived around where they set it up, complained of the noise increase they caused.

The day I decided to trade I went to the dealership and asked for prices OTD on a 2018 H2 SX and SX/SE, 2019 H2 and a 2016 or 17 ZX14R. Was strongly considering just buying a new 14R. But they had SX/SE on as a demo price but 0kms on it. The took it off the show room floor to let me take a rip on it, most dealerships I know wont do that.

Yea our city is a big cash cow, they have the typical red light cameras but they have cameras set up on polls, trucks, cars and boxes to catch you speeding. They had db reading boards for the sound setup but to many people were just trying to hit a high score and all the people that lived around where they set it up, complained of the noise increase they caused.
Probably same bunch that want to walk on other peoples manicured lawns laugh and snicker when the homeowner shouts at them for doing so.

How long is your riding season in Edmonton?
About 5 months. Snow is usually gone by May and temps drop and snow start flying right about now. This week will be the last week of riding for me. 12*C today but by the end of the week its 1 to 2*c

People mostly did it just see what their cars would do. But its flawed in so many ways.

1. It claims it can track individual lanes but if you sit off to the side and rev, it triggers. So it collects ambient sound.

2. Not all of them were calibrated the same. One setup read 94db with a bike bouncing off the rev limiter. But another setup would read 104db with the same bike.

3. The city bylaw states no motorcycle shall be operated with a exhaust exceeding 92db at idle and 96db at 4000rpm. But they were advertising tickets would be issued at anything over 86db.

One family had a yelling contest to see how loud his kids were. His little girl screamed 90db iirc
