Model Year 2, 3...How Many?

Some of us here will surely be holding off longer than others which will push us past the order cut off date.

Which brings me to the real point, Model Year 2. Do we know yet if there even will be one or more beyond?

It's 'possible' I suppose..depending on the real world response of the actual owners. It just may be however...that any 'updates' for this bike may ONLY be available to owners...????I think it's gonna definitely make history however...even if these production runs now are all there is.We know since it's supercharged it can't run with the regular literbike racers. Not sure what that leaves for it's future....drag racing?Yes...but not everyone who gets this bird is gonna drag race it.Street riding is really the only other option(or 'closed course')...so IDK.I'm gonna have as much fun as I can from it...regardless.

I wonder if we have turned a corner so to speak wherein updates to current and to a great extent might be software only and free to all. That would be nice.

Park it,plug it in and it downloads overnight, next morning you have 5 more horsepower! Screw overpriced slip-ons.

Brave new world.

If legal, what Kawasaki should do to increase demand & for more exposure is set up a race series for the H2 only where their owners(with credentials) or riders race similar to the Viper Cup & the Harley XR1200X race series with monetary prizes Of course, I am not sure about the liability issues but I am sure promoters could figure this out.
I think it depends on demand. If Kawasaki has a lot of interest even after orders are cut off for this year, then they will probably do another model year. It all comes down to $$$$.

I'd love to see that happen.
It's also something that would clearly help them out really well with branding efforts.

If they could make it happen it sure would be exciting, but I wonder how difficult it would be logistically. Gathering together that many people that actually own the bike and are skilled enough to race it and have the time to spare. Sounds a little hard to put together to me.

Hard but possible to some extent, might not get all or most owners but a good portion of them. It might have to be some regional thing

When I first mentioned this I was really addressing Series races for the H2R, although I listed the H2. Of course, there could be separate class races for each bike especially since even the H2 can't compete in any sanctioned race due to the supercharger.

It's gonna take a few more manufacturers making bikes with superchargers before there is a racing series. Unless Kawasaki just makes its own little series where all the bikes being raced are H2s.
Hey, just a little off topic thought...I wonder if the H2 may ride a little 2 stroke-esque, where you get those power surges?

Granted my 2 stroke experience is limited to dirt exploring not racing, but I'm curious if the power delivery may feel somewhat similar???
Imo it will be much more linear than a 2 stroke. Sc tend to build tq and hp similar to an electric motor. Having said that I haven't ridden a sc bike or a tc one either

That was my plan. All bikes in the racing series would be H2R's & maybe a separate series for the H2.
Turbo bikes with more than 3 #'s boost are exactly like the old ported hot rodded 2 strokes. The stock h-1 and h-2 have become more of a legend than they really were.

The old GP 2 strokes were much harder to ride than the Moto GP 4 strokes. That's why Vale is so special.... he could win on both.
