Kawasaki Ninja H2 stop sale issued for warranty recall

Does anyone have details on this?

I ordered an H2 very early, reputable dealer who has kept me in the loop with all contact with Kawasaki corporate during the entire process. I was somewhere in the teens for order slot with a non-carbon H2.

The bike arrived Dec 5th to dealer, was unboxed, and before I could take possession Kawasaki issued a stop sale on all H2's (going back to 2015) for a warranty repair.

Still digging into this and waiting to reach out to Kawasaki customer service.. anyone else know what's going on here?

I just ran my 2022 H2 and 2019 H2 vins in their recall search on their website, and they both are showing as "ACTION REQUIRED" for this issue.

Yep. Just ran mine. It’s got a recall as well. ‘22 Carbon.
Yeah - mine was picked up by the local dealer and is now at the shop waiting for more details so they can order the right replacement parts. Bummer, only had her for a month and only made it 300 miles into the break-in period. I expect it will take a few weeks
I hope the repair isn't too involved. Things can go wrong with engine-out work.
Mine says action required too. Contacted the dealer who said there has been no info provided by Kawasaki for a replacement part yet.
2022 Ninja H2, Got it in October 2022.

If it's the cam chain tensioner then the engine does not need to come out - relatively simple job - unscrew holding bolts on cam chain tensioner, remove, replace with new tensioner and gasket - done.

If anyone done the replacement, do share results
Agreed, keen to hear from anyone who has had the work done & if they noticed anything different afterwards?
I ordered mine when I first heard about it, took 2 days to get the part. Took me 5 minutes to install it. There is no difference. It is just failure prevention.

Agree with TedG, If your bike is otherwise running no problems then you're not going to notice any difference at all.
Since this seems to be all H2's from 2015 through 2022 and they say it affects 3,172 bikes can we assume that's how many were made? This number can't be found anywhere but maybe this recall shows how many were made.
It seems to affect Ninja H2, Ninja H2 Carbon, Ninja H2 SX, Ninja H2 SX SE, Ninja H2 SX SE+, so does the 3172 figure include these as well?
Fwiw my 2022 which was delivered end of November has a vin ending in 4296
Bike is back, phew! Apparently the fix is super fast, fairings don't even have to come off.

Official recall was posted on the Australian govt web on 10 Jan and affects just over 700 bikes of the H2 variants. Still nothing on the Aus Kawasaki web and dealers yet to be officially notified. No idea of the availability of the new part.
