Japanese delivery could happen before European delivery. Unless its the case that everything is sent out at the same time.

I'd heard there's a guy in Japan with one...but that was in passing with a friend and haven't been able to substantiate it online yet...

Post from Japan,

H2 is not delivery directory from Kawasaki reason from fullpower version is restricted by internal self-imposed control by automotive companies thus H2 will be delivered by subsidiary of Kawasaki as re-imported model.
Vehicles will be export for example Thailand once and re-imported.
For example Honda is released 1000rr as domestic model officially but max power is restricted to 123ps.

Currently one time export is not started yet and my dealer announced delivery to the customer might be started after April.

So they are shipping the bikes away from Japan and then back in again? That just seems like such a waste of energy.

It's strange because Kawasaki didn't want this strategy in France, hopefully. Like that we have the true version in 2016 :)

This is a small part of the full news article...but it could explain what's holding our bikes up.

"Honda Motor Co. said it would slow production for at least a week at six factories in Ohio, Indiana and Canada due to parts shortages. Those parts either are stuck in containers that haven't moved from crowded dockside yards, or on ships that can't dock because there's no room.
The automaker plans to trim production between Monday and Feb. 23, with factories shutting down for either full or half-days. Dealers haven't run short of cars yet and Honda hopes the dispute will end before that happens, Steve Kinkade said in an email.
Exporters also have suffered. In the latest example, Northwest Hardwoods said it will cut production at three mills in Washington or Oregon, according to vice president Brian Narramore".

I easy understood some guy feel strange Japanese market, but there was long history.

Bosozoku was the political problem long ago then
The Japanese manufacturers voluntary make some restriction and have an UNRITTEN agreement with the Japanese government not to sell any motorcycles with over 750cc in Japan with 77ps restriction.

Therefore, some importer re-import for the demanded customer and we need to pay a lot, in case of import model NO limitation on motor size and max power in resistration.

In Kawasaki, 72 Z1 900 is the good example, so called Z2 750 is only available in Japan direct delivery from Kawasaki and oter example in automotive is NISSAN GTR is equiped 180kph and 280ps remitter in Japan market.

We also ununderstandable and feel strenge.

App. 5-6years ago restriction was gone on motor size by the discussion Japanese manufacturers and Japanese government reason from less compatition with HD and others, but regarding max power strong restriction is valid.

You will able to find some discription with "Japan motorcycle restricted 750" in the internet.

KZ, why not full power on the JAPANESE H2 ???:crying:
Pretty sure the explanation is above, power restrictions have been agreed with authority's,and between makers even though the size of the motor is no longer restricted the horsepower still is.
