Invitation to see the H2R in Australia

Just got an invitation to go and view the new H2R in Australia next Saturday. May have to jump on that. Didn't think we'd see one down here until next year.

Cool - please send photos where you/someone is sitting on top of that so I'll get idea the size of H2R.

Next Saturday? Is that tomorrow, or next week. Either way that's awesome! You should totally take advantage. Where would you see it and how did you get the invitation?
Next week - 11th of October. Got the invite through Kawasaki Team Green, Australia. Was something I joined online a little while ago and didn't expect much more than marketing spam.

Surprised soon after to get an invitation to a full track day in Melbourne (which I sadly won't be able to make) for $50 (which includes a $25 food voucher), and now just got an invite to a private showing next Saturday of the new H2R. Well worth the 5 minutes to sign-up.

So I guess signing up for those mailing lists can actually pay off in the end. Who would have thunk it.

I have a few more if people are interested. (Sorry for the quality....not the best photographer and she's a shiny bike).

First impressions: she's a nice bike. Not really anything radical in appearances IMHO in real life. ie; She's of that superbike mould. Would certainly not say no to one. :) But her thing is her performance and unfortunately, no test rides were allowed. :)

Comfortable to sit on but I was only on her for a few seconds.

Will a post a vid of her being started up shortly.

Guys, thanks for the responses. Much appreciated.
hej fellas

u now what bothers me a lot
i will be honest with you guys

me as a kawasaki dealer dit not even got a meeting before other people
so my point i want to make is

the press at intermot was the first to see it
i had to take my car to germany to take a look
then i even coulnd touch the bike at the platform or at least take place in the seat as e dealer :(

and now i see in autstralia people just get an invitation to feel and hear the bike
its sad for me :( off course for the people its amazing dont get me wrong here
i am verry happy that there are manny enthousisast for the bike

but i as e dealer ho has got to sell the bikes to the people ...
did not even heart it or felt the bike in my own hands
it makes me a little sad ... :s

i think we as a dealer had to taste of this already a month ago or something ..

but hej ... thats just the way it is ...

i felt i had to tell this to you my friends :)
love you all :d

cheers willem

willem,

I am not a dealer, but I live close to the Kawasaki headquarters in the USA,
I asked them if I could come down and just LOOK at it, they said "we don't have one for
you to look at" which I believe is BS, I have found out from two reliable sources,
that they DO ! Cycle World magazine is about a block away too ....

And they still haven't given a price ? after all this hype ? how do they expect people
to order them, without even a price ? don't get me wrong, I love kawasaki, but they
are kind of pissing off people ....

I am not the least bit surprised that Kawasaki has yet to release Official MSRPs for either the H2R or H2 before the H2 is finally revealed at EICMA on November 4th.

Logistically from a marketing position, it would make no sense to do so... whether you agree with me or not. It would appear that at least Kawasaki and I think alike on this matter. ;)

In addition, note that the H2 will be revealed the day after Yamaha reveals (is expected to) the 2015 YZF-R1 at ECIMA.

For sure, control the media cycle. Its not just the Yam expected to debut, I believe the new 1299 Panigale is supposed to show its face too. Kawasaki is brilliant if they're playing this game like I think they are. Retard the release and spin everyone into a tizzy. They know this is what people want to see regardless. They have us by the balls and we like it ;)>:D
Thanks Rock.... some of the best pics I've seen yet.
