My name is ben. I'm from Paris.
My first and last bike is a roadster from Kawasaki of course the Z1000 (2006).
I like bike, car, and all things with engine :)
I' m happy to be in this adventure with you :D
Even if my delay is longer than yours.
Because Kawasaki decided to not build special H2 (with only 106 Horse power) for France. Our legislation is like that , wtf.
But for the 1st January 2016, France need to be the same about all others countries then we are free >:D

Welcome to the forum!

Glad to have you here.

Thoughts are with you after the crazy attacks in Paris last week.

Are you saying that you have to wait until January 1st to get yours? That would be a whole year wait. That is sooooooo long.
"While the street version is some 110hp down on the track only H2R, the engines are essentially the same, bar the camshafts, head gaskets and clutch, so for those game to wave goodbye to their warranty I am sure the boost can easily be wicked up towards that 300 horsepower figure via some aftermarket tuning… Particularly as Kawasaki state that ‘the whole engine was designed to be able to handle stresses 1.5x to 2x greater than on a naturally aspirated litre sports bike engine’."

Fortunately where i'm located the only cameras they use here for intersections are red light cameras and where red light runners have been the cause of many accidents.

Somewhere I heard there will be more of a roll out of speed cameras in north murica.
We have red light cameras in some places in Canada. They are a bit controversial though. Doesn't really stop people from speeding, just gives them tickets that they aren't expecting.
They are called safety cameras in the UK. The presence of a money making camera van causes a knee jerk reaction when ever spotted. They do lead to accidents.

just be happy you guys don't have speed cameras
at least they seem to have red light cameras where they help to solve a real problem to some extent.
In Canada our red light camera's have a 'speed on green' feature. If you speed through the intersection, on a green light, you get a ticket.

They're not everywhere in Canada, but they are in my area.

I guess overall...once people realize these 'speed cameras' could be at intersections,it could cause people to slow down?I don't think they're purposely trying write speed tickets.I think they're honestly trying to get people to pay more attention to how they're driving. One senseless wreck could destroy someone forever.
Most studies show an increase in accidents. People slamming on the brakes causing crashes.

There's usually a small decrease in 'between the cross walks' collisions and a massive increase in 'outside the cross walks' collisions. The studies that show a decrease typically only include accidents between the crosswalks.

Additionally, if they're not getting enough revenue from the tickets to pay the camera equipment supplier their contracted dollar amount, they'll shorten the Amber light duration until they get the revenue they need.

As a motorcyclist I want safe roads. Red light cameras do not help and are in fact, a detriment.

That's my opinion.

I have noticed this as well, people tend to go slow and sometimes slower than what you'd expect someone to go at when approaching an intersection which as you can imagine frustrates some people behind them which leads to bad things :D
Yesterday, in the local news they reported that one intersection did almost 28,000 speed on green tickets last year. That one single camera made the city almost $5 MILLION!!!! We have (I think) 51 in town.

The light goes amber;
1. hammer the brakes and get rear ended.
2. accelerate and get a speeding ticket
3. maintain speed and get a red light ticket.

No winning. Just pay the tax and move on.
