At the track last weekend, my home track Willow Springs and I had a really good battle with a zx-10r racer.
A session of video below. The first lap I was doing a 1:33 and he passed me going into turn 3, so it was game on I had to chase him down.. the next 4 laps I did consistent 1:30's which is my fastest time at this track. On the 6th and final lap I got fatigued and he caught me. It's a pretty good scrap. He gave me a big thumb's up exiting the track, I think he was surprised that I was able to wrestle the big girl around the track.

As usual a great video!

I recently did a track day at the new "The Bend" track here in Sth Aust. I'm absolutely not in your league of riding, but I do know that the dedicated track bikes surrounding me were able to carve me up in the corners! The track is very technical with 18 turns, many very tight and blind. It was demanding on the H2 to say the least. So watching you and the zx10r was great.

Out of interest, do you set traction control on the track, and if so what level? I ask as on The Bend I was gathering autologging data and the tuner asked me not to use TC while doing so. I've often wondered how intrusive TC is on the track.

Yeah I've always had my on TC1 both on the track and in the canyons. I tried it 1 time at the track on TC2 to see if I could get on the gas earlier and it was just sputtering through every turn. I like TC1. I still slide the rear out a lot but under control.
