Didn't I read somewhere that they are not stocking many of the carbon pieces like the winglets? If you order a replacement they pass the order on to a 3rd party mfg who builds them as needed. So on top of the price there is also I very long wait time.

The auto industry prices items with ridiculous numbers in order to be available for warranty and insurance purposes only.

This may be the case here, to deter any thought of buying a pipe for extra performance...

I'm sure this is true in the majority of cases. However the H2R is sold "as is" NO WARRANTY....Perish the thought of the headers failing because the downpipes glow red hot at the 4 into 1 collector pipe. >

This is new territory for me and though the H2 does come with a four year warranty it will be interesting to see if there are any recalls or persistent issues that occur. There certainly won't be £59 $100 aftermarket rectifiers like there is for the mass produced bikes. As time goes by spares will be one of the top issues, though my current understanding is that manufacturers are obliged to carry all spares for at least 12 (???) years.

If 10k are the offcial H2R exhaust price...its disappointingly
5k okay but a 2class order List ...

My h2r option and my H2 decision becomes critical

I've NEVER had a Kawasaki warranty claim even after the factory one ran out...never.4 big Kawasaki road burning sportbikes...none of em ever had any mechanical issues.I didn't baby em either
