I'm sure this is true in the majority of cases. However the H2R is sold "as is" NO WARRANTY....Perish the thought of the headers failing because the downpipes glow red hot at the 4 into 1 collector pipe. >The auto industry prices items with ridiculous numbers in order to be available for warranty and insurance purposes only.
This is new territory for me and though the H2 does come with a four year warranty it will be interesting to see if there are any recalls or persistent issues that occur. There certainly won't be £59 $100 aftermarket rectifiers like there is for the mass produced bikes. As time goes by spares will be one of the top issues, though my current understanding is that manufacturers are obliged to carry all spares for at least 12 (???) years.Extremely limited production items always have very high costs.
