LOL!Probably...but I REALLY don't see WHY they didn't just design it so it would fit like the 14.Woulda saved a LOT of bolt removing and all.Taking all the fairings off and that....WAY overboard for something like this.You can't use that 'storage space' they mention in the manual anyway for actually STORING anything;)
Silverbird, you are totally wrong about the storage space, I was able to put one glove in there, guess I can go do Michael Jackson impressions now....
I totally agree about that space, much easier to put the ECU back there, but Kawa may have wanted to bury to add to the degree of difficulty in modifying the bike "honest EU, we hid that thing so people could not lift the speed restrictions and wrote the instructions in the manual in pigeon English to make it even harder". My only guess is they saved about a pound of wire having the ECU so close, as opposed to the tail.

I believe the ECU is in front to save the wire weight and to help keep the front down. And nothing will change my mind about that ...beef and cheessticks lol

Sorry ..I type wrongly. The price 50,000 Baht (around 1,533 USD) is for full system and it's excluded transportation.







Price for header only is around USD 1,227. But we recommend to buy the full system.







Buying only header we're afraid it's not fit to ur other parts.

How about removing the chamber,removing the cat,then reinstalling.I know what you mean about the 'looks' deal.I actually LIKE the looks of the exhaust and all.On the 14,getting to the muffler cat was a no go.That piece was welded.On this one,that whole canister can be removed from the midpipe.Might be able to deform that cat in there and pull it out the front there?IDK.Just an idea.Maybe punch out an opening through it that matches or exceeds the midpipe diameter?
Anyone know if this is doable?

yep.I removed mine and added a zx10 midpipe,but had to cut and reweld to get the right angle going back to the hanger.


Is this what ya mean,or using the sound canister?Sorry..this isn't what ya meant.I guess you could cut the canister and then gut and reweld.

That exhaust looks pretty nice! So the mid pipe on the ZX is just tubing? No Pre Chamber or Catalyst honeycomb material?

Well...on this particular item,yes.All clear.Can't tell ya what year the midpipe is...I bought it as an akrapovic package deal with the muffler.2015's when I got it.They may still have these on their site.IDK.

I followed this thread with interest but linking photo's ect to Facebook means those of us that dislike that intrusive corporation don't load the items because they get blocked just like Google and all the other parasites sucking the life out of the internet. Just a passing comment.
