H2 tyres
Hi everyone has anyone experimented in changing tyres to different sizing?
I had fantastic experience with Michelin Pilot power 2CT tyres with my Hayabusa. They are a full sports tyre with capability of lean angle to approx 52 degrees. Super sticky but good wearing (I got close to 8000kms from my rear - with lots pillion work and spirited riding) Have the appropriate speed rating too. Only drawback was that they were crap in wet conditions, but because my H2 is going to be a weekend ride I don't think it will see too much of that.....
However they only come in a 190/55 sizing. My reasoning is that this tyre may fit the 6 inch rim on the H2 even better than the standard H2 200 tyre does.
Any experience or thoughts? I believe the standard H2 tyres don't like sat long?
What sort mileage normally sees them out?
Jeffro ;)

End my thread should say....
I don't think the Standard H2 tyres don't last that long...;)

My stock RS10's lasted me 1600 miles. I've had pilot powers on previous bikes. I would consider the stock RS10 a better class of tire than the pilot power, but either should be plenty for street use. I put a 190 on after my stock tire so you should be good.

My Stock tyres lasted 1,500 ks I recommend Metzler 7r tyres will do all you need to and are great in the wet as well. You can still stick with the 200 size as the profile is steep .My bike has 18,000 ks on it has done broadford and phillip island but spends most of its time in the mountains.I average about 4.500 ks from these tyres on my zx9r the same tyres I will get around 6500 ks

My bike has 1,700 miles on the odo' and is nearing the end of it's second rear and first front RS10. Over two seasons of land speed racing the bike has done around forty standing-mile runs and some mixed road riding.

I've stayed with the OE tyre, I race with TC off and never had a moments concern about grip or their ability to withstand multiple high speed runs.

I killed my rear after 1200 miles and am now on DIABLO ROSSO III which after 500 miles have felt great and seem to be lasting longer than the RS10 but thats with the 200 rear tyre size

Worth looking into.

The stock tyres are a little numb until warm, then I find them exceptionally good. You can feel everything

Similar experience with those same Michelin's on my street driven ZX14. I have 190/55 on the H2 now and they are confident and turn in well. The BS's seemed more neutral but not bad. I had a 190/50 in the garage I mounted but it would cause the TC to stutter so I took it off. It you crank up the HP you may need stickier center tread than the long wearing 2CT to deal with it $.02.

Apparently I ride differently than most...I got 2400 out of my first rear, and now at 4700 changing front and rear....(RS10's)

When yall go to buy replacements, go here:

Michelin Super Sport EVO, in the stock size, they are expensive, but very very good ones.
