Go pro footage of a H2 doing this coming soon....p.s. Madonna's gaff (crib) very close to here.

We have a large number of people over here who live for the Isle Of Man TT races. Pretty sure a lot of Americans have nothing else that matters to them other than Bonneville Salt flats. People live, work and strive happy in the knowledge they will be going back to what is a spiritual place for them soon. (Please add to this list)

ľ mile strips are great fun. Englands strips are 300 mile round trips for me living on the south coast. RWYB (Run What Ya Brung) events are a bit of a work up for this reason. Nursing tyres and chain and sprockets home.( and clutches with the zx12r) For this reason I am building from scratch a custom trailer. Another reason is my wife’s condition. We can still ride around Europeon cities by doing the stages in comfort then unhitching a bike say ten miles out of Barca , Paris, Rome.
I know in Ameica Trailerites ( Think Isrealites ) are considered sub Human but in mainland Europe it is considered very cool. You clearly are smart enough to have the motorhome and time and money to go places. UK attitude is half way between these schools of thought which is not strange as we geographically sit there.
I have driven LA to Vegas in a Mustang. When I got the hire car the tyres were poor and one was under inflated. On pointing this out I was asked to come back in an hour. New tyres were fitted . I found Mullholland Drive and Ragged that car. I Loved that level of customer service, didn’t like the security guard in the casino stood a bit too close with a huge chrome gun. I mean it was mahoosive 12 inches maybe? All I was doing was drinking free beer and being chatty. I have a sister in law in Texas. Am I right in thinking you do timed standing miles not quarters? I know you have big long roads out there cos Chris Rea sang so in “The road to ****” I once ran side by side on a 6 year old zzr1100 against a new fireable. We were neck to neck till 165mph then I pulled away.
I live for Road Trips, logistical challenges and Kawasaki’s and the best piece of advise I was ever given was, “Do something you love for a living and you’ll never have to work a day in your life.”
My spiritual home is where I lay my hat, hopefully not where I lay my H2.

Wow h2rcx, that is an excellent write up and it certainly sounds like you embrace life. My wife and I will be in London and surrounding area towards the end of June. We are really looking forward to seeing the UK.

Where I live in Oklahoma we have pretty decent road race track and a quarter mile track just about an hour away each. Myself I enjoy riding on the track, I guess you can say that is my "spiritual place". I really enjoy track days, great time to ride the bike hard and to spend time with good friends. I have taken a couple of cars down the quarter mile but have never taken a bike. If the H2 did not come with launch control I don't think I would have thought about taking it down the quarter. But since it does, I feel compelled to check it out and see how it works and what better place than a quarter mile track.

The H2 for me is going to be my Hot Rod and will not be ridden everyday, well maybe at first. I do have several bikes and the H2 is going to be fun to explore different types of ridding, I am planning on taking it down the quarter and to a track day or two just to explore it's capabilities.

Here in Oklahoma we don't have roads that look anything like what is in your video, we have to go to Arkansas to experience something similar. Fortunate for me Arkansas is only a few hours away. I try to do about 6 track days a year and spend three days or so a year in Arkansas riding the many, many roads they have that are suited so well to sport riding/touring.

In summary the H2 will spend time and several different venues and different types of riding so as to explore it's capabilities. But most of the time it will only be taken out occasionally for a quick blast whenever I'm feeling feisty.

Oh, when I say "explore it's capabilities" I really mean explore mine.

Mostly on the track I think. Its kind of overkill for everyday roads.

Got a few plans for mine this year :

France to run it in
Germany - Nurburgring and some unrestricted autobahns
Santa Pod and Long Marston (drag racing)
Le Mans (track day)
Bruntingthorpe (fingers crossed) top speed testing
Elvington (more top speed stuff)
And back to France as often as possible to find some great roads !

Quite a list, Momentous task to do all that on a H2. I won't be doing the top speed gigs but i went to Westonzoyland three times last year.Less than 60 miles from Poole. Saw the Hobbit that day. Theres an 86 year old running a 1920's Douglas on methanol regularly there!
Had a very nice time in an Alfa Romeo in Cherbourge once. Drove v steady coming back as there were two m/c cops on that stretch...Do like the idea of Le Mans. Will search dates. Might ride H2 to that one.

I was at Stafford last year when George Brough's Superior ( number 1 ) made a World record at auction.26th April. Got a lovely pic of a Hesketh on my phone from that day. Will try to put in on in test area. This is near Long Marston. Found vid on phone of Santa Pod on 18th March. This is of a Harley stunting...We were wetting ourselves laughing,,Real different class of riding that was the Straight Liners Do. Did 350 miles that day, first ride out of last season. Raced at Shakespears County raceway last year.....I will be Aiming for a sub 10 on a stock H2. If I don't get it I will go back and strap the thing down and deflate and smoke trye....

Nurburgring,,, "Always on my mind." Though always fancied using the 12 for that.

Last year 21st June, Summer Solstace Stonehenge. The Stones are open, To see the sun rise over the heel stone at exactly O'clock is Invigorating. Though I would miss it if I can be Flat out down the Mulsanne Straight that day. ( Le Mans )

29th June Westonzoyland.

Looking at doing Le Mans with No Limits - choice of 2 dates in July and August - both 2 days on track. Not sure which one yet though !

H2CRX, keep in touch if you do look at any drag racing events in the UK - it would be good to tag along and get a pair of H2's on track together !
