We must be the odd ones out. My Carbon was on the showroom floor for months, the only one imported into NZ on spec by the dealer. After having the run around by an over cautious H2R owner I brought my 2017 Carbon, the next day the H2R owner came through with the info I had been asking for.

There are quite a few H2's here, one was for sale with 3600 Km on it, the dealer said there was a steady stream of people just to see one in the flesh, most were older guys with the H2 on their wish list. It was sold to somebody 1500 Km away. Maybe we are generally a bunch of penny pinches as nobody would pay a premium for the Carbon.

So for what it's worth, Kawi did confirm that 6 2017 Carbons came to the USA. I bugged my Kawi rep and he said 6-8 2018s came over, so looks like I was wrong.

I only mentioned it because anecdotally I have seen WAY more photos of 2017s than 2018s, which made me think there were a lot less 2018s.

With the low numbers imported to high population countries I have the feeling that they never made 120 2017 Carbons and probably thought that numbering the 2018 model was a waste of time as they would be rare anyway.

pay 3500 dollars more just for the carbon front does not seem like a good business, maybe that's why there are not many
for that money I could buy a lot of carbon parts for a h2 ...

They told me that in 2018, only 7 carbons and 6 non-carbons were imported into North America. Don't know if that is the truth but that is what they said.
I know that in Northern Nevada, I have the only H2, but after I got mine a guy saw it and found a 2015 H2R a bought it.

Sounds wrong to me Ted, Id be amazed theyd even bother in 2019 if thats all that North America took in 2018 ?
Also saying more carbons sold than standard H2s sounds wrong. Then again youd have to be crazy to buy a 4 year old design in 2018 given the upgrades to the 19 bike so perhaps everyone waited!!!
In the UK for 2019 we have an allocation of 50 bikes, 40 standard 10 carbon unsure of what has been ordered though.

Im sure a brand new 2020 bike will be launched to p#ss me off!!

Hi, we have a 2017 and 2018 Carbon in Cyprus. Pity 2018 not numbered.
