Cleaning Finish and protecting the tank

just picked up my bike yesterday and given the mirror finish I am looking to take some precautions on cleaning and protecting the back of the tank from jacket.

what are you doing?

so far so good with the bike. I wish it were lighter.

I put a progrip pad on the tank before I even rode it. I went for a long ride today, and still some marks in the clearcoat right next to the pad. This paint will be hard to keep perfect!

There were also some bug splats on the front cowling, not surprising. Those cleaned off pretty easy and left no marks. I used a detail spray and microfiber.
