Air filter upgrade OEM

Both filters bought new today.

The white filter (part nr: 11013-0747) is the original air filter for H2 2015-2018, it appears to have a thicker filter material which is heavily oiled, and the material feels slightly less rigid (softer), this filter costs about 60% more ($43) which is a significant price difference.

The red filter (part nr: 11013-0776) is the new filter that arrived last year for H2SX and this year the same filter is used for the 2019 H2 as well. It was claimed in promotion material for the new H2 that this filter is an upgrade over the old filter.
The red filter material is a little thinner but has the same amount of folds, it's still oiled but not soaking like the old one, material appears slightly more rigid and dense, I can't tell if it would flow any better I can only guess. There is no mention of backward compatibility but they are identical in the fitment, perhaps they will phase the old filter out once stock is gone. The new filter is a lot cheaper (at $26) and of about the same build quality I would say.

Don't get me started on that, I was almost banned last time that came up, let me just say I'm not putting no after-market crap without any warranty or proper research behind it to prove filter efficiency in my 30 thousand dollar bike! And I'm talking all available brands as of yet.

Great, let the other half discuss the OEM filters here if they are interested and discuss the after-market filters in the after-market filter thread.

@andreas_nor

A majority of MotoGP and Superbike teams use the Sprint filters. Wonder why...
