Seems noise is only one way when pulling lever in.
The noise is similar to a dry joint or something catching and freeing with the pressure repeatedly.
You say kawasaki are not 100% sure but to me it's clearly a potential loss of control issue.
Not a straightforward warranty claim then?

I did say it was dangerous to mechanic at dealer but got no reply.

Apparently a new input shaft and shift rod sorts this issue but another owner on here with he exact same issue had the parts replaced and it's still doing the same thing.

Do you have a 2017/18 model if so what mileage does your bike have ? Seems like a hard question for people to answer on here.

Hi all,

New to the forum and on the hunt for a 2017/18 model.

Turns out this is the first post i have read!! Thought they were over engineered?? Not filling me with confidence reading this. Dont imagine to many people are near your mileage. Which tbh must be more of a worry for anyone who will be out of warranty when this pops up. There will surly be more in the future. Cant see it being isolated. Not good. As you say this must be a serious safety issue. Kawazaki must be taking this very seriously.

Dave.

Dave.
The level of customer care from Kawasaki is the poorest I have came across. They dont seem to bothered or consider this a major issue. I spoke to head of customer service for UK the other day and didn't get any more answers.

I had over 4K from new on my previous 2016 H2, no problems whatsoever but assume it was built before the issue surfaced.

Yes Kawasaki have the video, local dealer has that one which I sent before I asked them to fix the issue. Then he took his own video after I returned because it wasnt fixed.

Do you have a 2017/18 bike ? If so I would like to know the mileage as I think it might be a factor.

Mines a 16 with 2900.

Personally,I'd find out exactly what my rights are and the correct process and start putting everything in writing to force Kawasaki to do the right thing.
Go legal.
