The H2R is priceless

A couple of friends came by to checkout my bike. They were drooling over it and made comments all over different areas on the bike. These 2 guys know sportbikes very well and one of them owns a ZX14R with over 200hp. He even ran LSR in Ohio before.

I made them wait for 10 minutes before putting the key in and started it up to hear how it sounds. Even at idle speed, they were wow-wee about the sound. Without warning, I rev it to the redline quickly, and OMG it was ear-deafening and they jumped back a few feet and almost fell down.

Owning the most powerful production bike on earth is worth $50+k, but witnessing your friends got scared by the sound like they just saw a ghost is priceless.

My problem is liking too many things. I do collect and restore the original Kawasaki 2-stroke triple H2 and H1. I always loved racing since I watched Eddie Lawson won the Superbike Championship in early 80s. I do have a pretty rare 1987 Suzuki. I don't have really fast car but I am working on a 69 Dodge Charger.

Would have been funny to watch them jump back when you revved.

Yes that really would. I rode (instead of trailered) my H2 up the TrackDay at COTA this weekend and it did turn a few heads and drew a few to it. I didn't signup for it so was just being a spectator. The feed back alone almost made the ride up there and bug suicide juices on the paint worthwhile.

I say almost because the bike to me looked nasty but some said it still looked clean to them. So when I got home that night, I detailed it. I was tired and that was a pain to do under that condition.

You've got to keep your bike looking nice and clean. But regardless of that, the H2R goes fast and that is what will carry the most weight with people.
