Couldn't agree more, I hate not having a fuel gauge.

lol. This bike was designed to be different.EVERYTHING about it.Including that 'pesky' fuel gage

It wants you to be tuned in and paying attention to what you're riding.I like how this bike engages the owner.

Kawasaki Ninja H2 Fuel Economy/MPG/Gas Mileage Discussion

Designed to be different, with no gauge? Now you’ve got me ranting!!
With respect older bikes had no fuel gauge, my original Strokers, GPz’s, ZX6’s & FireBlades all had no gauges...So after being spoiled with such an amazing piece of technology (a fuel gauge) on both my ZX14’s I expected no less on a bike of this value.
IMO, the system the H2 uses is best described as completely f#king Sh#t. In fact my opinion is that the person that signed it off instead of a fuel gauge needs firing with immediate effect (probably the same dude that designed the indicator switch)
The best method for fuel “calculations” is to use a thing called the “ignition key” what you do is open the filler and do it the old way, have a look, swill and listen! (you know on a technological marvel such as the H2, it’s what you’d expect)
Rant over, by all means dick around with the fuel consumption calculator but for me it’s just easier zero your mileage and head to the pumps well before 100miles.
Ted, based on how I think you’re going to ride it, you won’t be getting above 30mpg, no chance whatsoever!
You’re still going to love it though

"Designed to be different, with no gauge?"...I say again..it DOES have a fuel gageActually,a lot better indication of gallons remaining than your generic ...'the line says I'm halfway from 4.5 gallons'.

"by all means dick around with the fuel consumption calculator but for me it’s just easier zero your mileage and head to the pumps well before 100miles."...it calculates it for you as you ride. That's the point of zeroing it(the gallon indicator) at fill-up...you see exactly how much you've used at any given point with that tankful.I guess they could have done a generic gage...of course. But they didn't want to.I think it's more accurate.Maybe not?I thought it was a tad weird at first. But after using it for a bit,it was quite simple.I fill up,I zero the gallons. If I want to see how much I used over the whole day...I don't re-zero it.
